According to the last National Household Survey, there were 581,950 Muslims living in Ontario in 2011. That represents over half of the 1 million Muslims in Canada and 4.6% of Ontario’s total population in 2011 (12,651,790).

Of those living in Ontario, almost 30% were Canadian-born and almost 70% were immigrants. 293,925 (50.5%) are male and 288,025 (49.5%) are female.
